John Kass

Go Johnny Go has been selling music stuff via mail since 1982. We carry Rock music of all kinds, Soul/Funk/R&B, Jazz, Blues, Country, Folk, Classical, Gospel, Choir records, and we SPECIALIZE in PUNK, NEW WAVE, & INDIE ROCK of the 1970s-1990s. Since we are based in Minneapolis, and have traveled the Midwest often, we can help you find that Midwestern release from the 70s-90s. Lots of our Midwest Indie releases have goodies like flyers, set lists, & press kits along with the records.

We proudly feature REASONABLY PRICED shipping rates with NO HANDLING CHARGES & well-packaged orders. Learn more.

After twenty nine years of shipping records, we’ve learned how to send records to you effectively. We ship all LP & 12″ records in professional-grade cardboard record mailers. Records are shipped out of their jackets to prevent seam splitting caused by jostling in the mail, and we pad all 12-inches/LPs & 78s with bubble wrap. 45s & 78s are packed in a cardboard “sandwich” to protect against damage during shipping.

We ship Tuesdays & Fridays after payment is received. 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed!

International orders may take up to SIX WEEKS due to possible Customs delays.

We can also TRANSFER YOUR LP or cassette TO CD & mp3. HEY- we can even fix some skips on records and get most 8-track tapes & cassettes to work again, so don’t hesitate to contact us. Email us for details.

Yeah, Johnny put out a lot of records on various labels over the years. Here’s a list.

We also dream of building the definitive discography of Minnesota records 1970-1990 at gojohnnygo.com, with cover art, track listings, sound clips, etc. Also a bunch of photos/art/flyers/concert tickets/etc relating to Midwestern music….ahhhh someday, someday, someday….

Hey John I played on this album back in the day and I’m still in contact with the group leader Garrick Engfer. let me know if you want his contact information for lots of detail on this album it was kind of fun to see on the internet after all these years as it was our very first album of guys getting together and laying down these tracks. Peace Jeff

Yeah, Garrick Engfer. He tried to start a band called Nicodemus with a group of us when we were in High School. He was perhaps ten years older than us. I couldn’t initially understand why he wasn’t playing with those his own age. He started getting us high a lot and acting strangely, and at one point told me he’d recently sexually abused another male high school friend of mine. Seriously, this isn’t heresay; he told me.

Garrick Engfer, remember the name. An average singing voice, lousy songwriter, and a sexual predator who should have been locked up back then. I just hope we didn’t harm any other young people over the years. ☹️

Typo in the last line above: ‘he’, not ‘we’.
